25 Weeks Pregnant

Your baby is almost completely formed in pregnancy 25 week. The structures of your baby’s spine are beginning to form while the blood vessels of the lungs develop as well. Also, his nostrils are beginning to open. Being 25 weeks pregnant you can feel your baby now has fully formed fingerprints and his bones are continuing to harden. He is about 13 inches long and weighs a pound and a half. A health point to consider is your overall health and energy which depends on a healthy diet.

As you go through your pregnancy week by week, you may want to think about what happens after the baby arrives. Things like getting the nursery ready, where the baby will sleep and a name for the baby will occupy your mind. During your early pregnancy stages, you were too preoccupied with the discomforts of your pregnancy, but now you can plan for the coming months.

At pregnancy week 25, your baby’s little hands are feeling his surroundings, touching his own skin and the umbilical cord. At this stage in your pregnancy, you will notice that your baby has busy and resting times. Your baby’s hearing has also developed so much that he can hear you. A health point to consider is to eat smaller meals more frequently. It also helps to avoid spicy and fatty foods.

As you go through the 25 weeks of pregnancy, you will notice that the hormone progesterone slows the emptying of your stomach so that there is an increase in absorption of the nutrients for your baby. Added to this, your expanding uterus puts increased pressure on your intestines. The result is that 25 weeks pregnant mommy favourite foods can become a nightmare and make you very uncomfortable. However, try eating healthy, smaller meals.
